David Warther Knives
Model 1963 Abalone Pearl
Model 1963 with select Abalone pearl handles.
At this time we have one Red Heart abalone knife available. This is a striking reddish colored abalone pearl that is made from the heart or center of the shell where it is highly iridescent. We are in the process of making more abalone knives but this is the sole knife available at this time.
The blade and back spring are of 1095 high carbon tool steel with blade temper at 58 Rockwell-C.
Engine turned jeweled blade and liners. Pebble textured back spring interior, sides and fascia as well as blade kick run, thumb nail groove and full top cornice area. Bolsters of Nickel Silver.
Each blade is signature stamped "David Warther II" across the top of the blade in the Warther knife tradition. The base of the blade is stamped "Dover Ohio USA" on one side with the knife number on the opposing side. We do not accept requests for numbers - they are made and sold sequentially.
The Model 1963 comes with a cherry wood box and with a gift box. Each knife arrives with a document signed by David telling of the history of the knife along with your knife number and information about the materials. The knife measures 3.75" long when folded and 6.75" when unfolded.
